3 ways to use carwax in the bathroom
81Carwax in the bathroom
Bathroom car wax
There are a number of every day items that are simply laying around the house barely ever being used. To be more efficient with your money it always helps to use a product that is very useful for multiple applications - the problem can be figuring out what those other applications are. I am going to show you three great uses for car wax in the bathroom of your own home. It will help you in cleaning your bathroom and be a life saver if you are in a hurry and have to use the mirror after a hot shower. I grew up with my family using Nu Finish and that is simply what I am use to. I honestly have no idea if there is a real big difference between all the car waxes out there, but it seems to me that in general there is not a huge difference. So use what you have if you think it will work.
Car wax anti-fog mirror
Is it ever a hassle for you to get out of a hot shower and the mirror is completely fogged. You have to wipe it off a couple of times just to see yourself in the mirror? This has happened to me on more than one occasion - and then you have to clean the mirror later because of the wipe marks on it.
You know what works great for this type of situation? Car wax! You are correct. All you have to do is take some car wax paste and spread it over the mirror and let it dry. Then take a cloth and buff it out. This will prevent the hot shower fog from appearing and hassling you. It only takes about five minutes to put it on and another five minutes to buff it out. Ten minutes to prevent such a nuisance from happening. And I know I enjoy my hot showers. Try it and see how well it works.

Car wax mildew prevention
I will ruin the build up of the shower use to say, "Do not use car wax on the base of the tub!" This makes it slippery and I do not want anyone slipping in the shower and hurting themselves. Only use this on the side walls of the shower or the tile walls. Coat the walls and let it dry then buff it out after it dries. You should only have to do this about once a year and it will help prevent any scum and mildew build-up as well as making cleaning much easier on you. Another simple one that does not take long to apply and clean-up. And this bathroom tip will save you so much time for the next year.
Water spot free faucets
Take car wax and work it into the faucets and fixtures around the bathroom. Anything chrome or metal will work. Again, apply the car wax, let it dry, and then buff it off. This is a simple pattern we have going here. The car wax will help prevent water spots. Not only the water spots but it will also help with other build ups and make cleaning up so much easier on you. This is probably the fastest bathroom tip I have for you today.
3 quick and easy tips
All three of these tips are quite fast to apply and clean-up. The amount of time they will save you makes it worth the few minutes apply the car wax and buff it all up. Car wax is easy to apply, the application to bathroom applications for car wax is exactly the same as applying it to a car as well. So the directions on the bottle will work for using it in the bathroom. I hope I have saved you some time this year. My personal favorite is the mirror, I really do like hot showers and the mirror even with the fan going or the window open always use to fog up on me.

Interesting hub, I will have to try it some of these out.
If you have an old fashioned tub, try waxing the back, then fill half full of water and have an in house water slide! I would suggest being under 5 years old for this. Mom's get mad about too much water being splashed. I used to do this when I was little. Supervision was a little "different" in our house.
Thank you so much! I'm always looking for help with cleaning. These are great tips and I can't believe that I hadn't heard of them. One of my friends used to scrub her faucets with toothpaste but this beats that hands down.

I like this hub. Thanks. I will try car wax on the shower doors...they are such a pain to clean.
